NEPAL का क्या मतलब है?
नेपाल, आधिकारिक तौर पर संघीय लोकतांत्रिक गणराज्य नेपाल, दक्षिण एशिया में स्थित एक भूमि पर आधारित संप्रभु राज्य है। "नेपाल" शब्द विद्वानों द्वारा माना जाता है कि यह शब्द "नेपा" से लिया गया है, जो कि वर्तमान काठमांडू घाटी के नेवार साम्राज्य को संदर्भित करता है। स्थानीय किंवदंतियों का कहना है कि "ने" नामक एक हिंदू ऋषि ने प्रागैतिहासिक काल में खुद को काठमांडू की घाटी में स्थापित किया था और "नेपाल" शब्द ऋषि "ने" द्वारा संरक्षित जगह (संस्कृत में "पाला") के रूप में अस्तित्व में आया था। नेपाल नाम की इस लोक व्युत्पत्ति का अर्थ है, "देश ने नी की देखरेख की"।
