PFA का क्या मतलब है?
प्रीडिक्टिव फेल्योर एनालिसिस (पीएफए) हार्ड डिस्क ड्राइव की विफलता की निगरानी और निदान के लिए एक स्वामित्व वाली आईबीएम तकनीक है। तकनीक ड्राइव यूनिट के कई प्रमुख (मुख्य रूप से यांत्रिक) मापदंडों को मापने पर आधारित है, उदाहरण के लिए उड़ान की ऊंचाई वाले सिर। मापदंडों की तुलना पूर्वनिर्धारित थ्रेसहोल्ड से की जाती है और ड्राइव फर्मवेयर द्वारा स्वास्थ्य की स्थिति का मूल्यांकन किया जाता है। यदि ड्राइव जल्द ही विफल होने की संभावना है, तो डिस्क नियंत्रक को एक अधिसूचना भेजी जाती है।
